Fred D. "Buddy-Screek" Maddix Jr., 80, of Ashland, died Monday in Matthews, N.C.
He was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Ashland.
His wife, Fern Barker Maddis, preceded him in death.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to the Bible Radio Ministry with Vernon McGee, P.O. Box 7100, Pasadena, Calif.
