Ruth Denning - 1917-2008
Ruth Clifton Denning, 90, of Picayune, Miss., formerly of Flatwoods, died Friday, May 2, 2008, in Picayune. She was born Dec. 7, 1917, in Greenup County, the daughter of the late Charles B. and Hallie M. Moore Clifton. She was the wife of the late Russell Denning. She was a homemaker and a member of Advance Memorial United Methodist Church of Flatwoods.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Darwin Everman of Slidell, La.; and one brother and sister-in-law, Carl M. and Virginia Clifton of Danielsville, Ga.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, with the Rev. Lowell Ogden officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
