Sharon Kay Farrow, 76, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
She was born May 20, 1942, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Jack Smith, Sr. and Alma Rae Spicer Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Talmadge J. Smith.
Sharon was a member of Christ Center Ministries. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Miller Farrow, Jr. of Ashland; daughters, Cynthia Fish of Ashland, and LaVonda Bacon of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers, Jack (Edith) Smith, Jr. of Hope Mills, NC, and Oscar (Jane) Smith, Sr. of Ashland; sisters, Mary Ann Bell of Ashland, Linda S. Carey of Charlotte, NC, Sylvia (Noble) Manley of Hendersonville, TN, and Melissa (David) Strader of Ashland; grandchildren, LaRhonda Carter, Brittany Carter, Jaclyn Carter, Felicia Farrow, Jazlyn Farrow, Annabelle Leone, Erica Adkins and Henry Bacon; great grandchildren, Imani, Ja’Kiah, Carter, Zaylen, Gavin, Jamari, Jameah, Jordan, Miaya, and Jayla, Ki’ahri, Vanessa; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Rev. Denzella R. Letcher officiating.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Burial will be on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Rose Hill Burial Park.
